YOUR TRAINING PROGRAM QUESTIONS, ANSWERED
COMMON PERSONAL TRAINING QUESTIONS ANSWERED
  • What is the best way to get started at Smack Fitness if I have never trained here before?

The best entry point is the Mo-Mentum Consultation, a 30-minute session priced at $49. During this visit you will complete a medical-grade InBody scan that measures skeletal muscle mass and other key composition markers. This gives your coach a clear, data-backed picture of where you are starting from, so your training plan is built around your actual body and goals rather than a generic template. If you decide to join a membership package within 7 days of your consultation, the $49 is credited back toward your first month. It is a low-pressure way to see if Smack Fitness is the right fit before committing to a full program.
  • How is Smack Fitness different from a traditional gym or big-box fitness center?

Smack Fitness is a boutique wellness studio, which means the experience is intentional and personal from the start. The coaching philosophy is built on presence and purpose rather than the hustle-and-pressure culture common in traditional gym environments. Sessions are kept small, either private or in groups of no more than 10 people, so you get real attention and real accountability. The focus is on building sustainable habits, improving strength and mobility, and honoring where your body actually is. Smack Fitness was also recognized as a Post and Courier Best Fitness Studio, which reflects the quality clients experience here.
  • What membership options are available, and how do I know which one is right for me?

There are three membership tiers. The Groove is $329 per month and includes 16 small group training sessions with a maximum of 10 people per class, making it a strong fit for anyone who thrives on community energy and consistency. The Remix is $850 per month and combines 12 small group sessions with 4 private one-on-one sessions, offering a hybrid approach for those who want both community and individualized coaching. The Solo is $1,200 per month and includes 8 private 50-minute sessions along with continuous digital coaching and accountability check-ins between visits. Your Mo-Mentum Consultation is a good place to talk through which tier matches your schedule, goals, and current fitness level.

  • Can I add extra sessions if my current membership does not include enough time with a coach?

Yes, add-on sessions are available exclusively for existing members. If you are on The Solo plan, you can add 4 small group sessions for $99. Remix members can add 2 private sessions for $300. Groove members can add 4 private sessions for $550. These add-ons are designed to give you flexibility during busier weeks or when you want to push a little harder without switching to a higher tier. They are available only to current members, so getting enrolled in a base package first is the starting point.
  • Is Smack Fitness a good fit for someone who is older or has not worked out consistently in years?

Absolutely. The studio was specifically built with women 35 and older in mind, along with caregivers, busy professionals, and anyone who has felt intimidated or out of place in traditional fitness settings. The coaching approach centers on meeting you where you are, physically, mentally, and emotionally. Sessions emphasize strength, mobility, and longevity rather than aesthetics or extreme performance benchmarks. The InBody scan used during the Mo-Mentum Consultation gives your coach a real baseline so progress is measured in ways that actually matter to your health and daily life, not just a number on a scale.

  • What does a typical small group training session look like at Smack Fitness?

Small group sessions are capped at 10 participants, which keeps the environment focused and personal. Each session is structured around purposeful movement that builds strength and mobility over time. The atmosphere is designed to feel supportive rather than competitive, so members encourage each other without the pressure to keep up with anyone else. Sessions are grounded in the same philosophy that drives all programming here: consistency, care, and building habits that hold up over the long term. The Groove membership is built around this format, and Remix members also attend group sessions as part of their hybrid package.
  • What is the Mo-Mentum Consultation, and why does it use an InBody scan?

The Mo-Mentum Consultation is a 30-minute session that grounds your training in real data from the start. The InBody scan is a medical-grade body composition tool that goes beyond weight to measure skeletal muscle mass and other markers that give a much clearer picture of your health. This matters because building and maintaining muscle is central to long-term strength, mobility, and healthy aging, especially for adults 35 and older. Rather than using the scan as a clinical or intimidating benchmark, it serves as a starting point for grounded, personalized support, helping your coach build a program for you specifically, not a generic client.
  • Does Smack Fitness offer any digital or remote coaching support between in-person sessions?

Yes, digital coaching and accountability support is included as part of The Solo membership. This means your coach stays connected with you between your 8 monthly private sessions, which is especially useful for busy professionals or anyone who needs consistent check-ins to stay on track. The accountability component is built into the program intentionally because sustainable habits are formed between sessions, not just during them. If you are on The Groove or Remix tiers and want more between-session support, your Mo-Mentum Consultation is a good time to talk through which package gives you the right level of connection.
